HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The National Weather Service has confirmed that seven tornadoes have touched down in Martin, Union, Posey and Gibson counties, as well as Springfield.

The storm caused significant damage in some of these areas. Posey County suffered significant damage, and tornado cleanup operations continued through Wednesday.

Mount Vernon also suffered significant damage, with residents of the Ponderosa Mobile Home Park suffering extreme damage.
