LANSING, MI — Four Upper Peninsula businesses have received grants from the Michigan Strategic Fund.

The money comes from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Match on Main program, which provides up to $25,000 to small businesses looking to expand in downtown core areas and shopping districts.

The fiscal year 2024 Match on Main award winners in the Upper Peninsula are: Negaunee Downtown Development Authority for Slapshot sandwiches, Sault Ste. Marie DDA for UP North Nutrition and Gym 906, Marquette DDA for Café Bodega and Lake Superior Community Partnership for Doozers in Ishpeming.

Each company received $25,000.
