During her meeting with AUSAA, Cheikha Bodour exchanged views on a preliminary draft outlining the board’s priorities. The board’s vision focused on strengthening connections among alumni, enhancing personal and professional networks, and creating a strong, supportive community that extends beyond graduation .

They also discussed investing in alumni by providing them with lifelong learning opportunities, mentoring programs and professional development initiatives, as well as engaging alumni in long-term relationships. The Board of Trustees highlighted the symbiotic relationship between AUS and its alumni, emphasizing the important role alumni play in supporting the current student body while benefiting from access to university resources and networks.

Reem Baggash, President of AUSAA, highlighted the importance of meeting with AUS leaders, calling it a crucial step towards strengthening the AUS’s “talented alumni” community. university.

In a separate meeting, Cheikha Bodour met with the new board members of the Alumni CEO Club. A dynamic platform that enables meaningful connections between accomplished business leaders who are AUS alumni, the Alumni CEO Club serves as a source of inspiration, showcasing the remarkable achievements of AUS graduates in various sectors. The meeting focused on introducing potential members and collecting their strategic ideas. It also included a presentation of a preliminary draft of priorities for the coming year, detailing the board’s vision and strategic objectives.

Recently, the first Arab Cultural Institute in Milan, officially opened by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, attracted considerable public interest during its first two days.

More than 300 membership applications were submitted, highlighting the urgent need for a platform that connects Arab and European cultures, brings together writers, editors and culture enthusiasts and encourages the exchange of ideas, initiatives , events and collaborative projects. These efforts showcase the richness of Arabic literature and culture, allowing European audiences to explore and appreciate the depth and beauty of Arab civilization.

With the support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and under the leadership of Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), and in collaboration with the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, the institute aims to expand the SBA-sponsored Arabic Language Festival to offer a wider range of activities, such as poetry readings, language workshops, panel discussions and book fairs featuring authors from diverse backgrounds.

The institute offers an immersive cultural experience that goes beyond cultural exchange. Its Arabic language programs offer participants the opportunity to learn the language while deepening their understanding of the culture.
