Every time Miu Miu puts on a show, a new descendant takes her wings. This season, it’s Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, the sixteen-year-old daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who has officially entered the cultural zeitgeist.

It seems Sunday’s famous parents have become more comfortable with the teen being in the spotlight lately. Over the summer, Urban joined his mother at an Omega event after making his red carpet debut at the AFI Life Achievement Award gala with both of his parents in April. Now she’s doing it on her own, literally. Urban opened the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2024 show on Tuesday in Paris, making her modeling debut.

Neither Kidman nor Keith were in the audience for their daughter’s big moment, although the actress was spotted in Paris at the Balenciaga show on Monday. Urban, however, wasn’t alone, as she was joined by a handful of other surprising models on the Miu Miu show. Miuccia Prada is known for inviting many famous faces into her presentations, and Urban was followed on the catwalk by Hilary Swank, Little Simz, Thai singer Minnie and Alexa Chung, who made her catwalk debut last month at Tory Burch. Willem Dafoe closed the event by returning to the catwalk for the first time since Prada’s iconic “Villains” show during the fall 2012 season.

As for Urban, this probably isn’t the last we’ll see of her. Besides modeling, Kidman has said in the past that her daughter also interested her parents with her creative interests. According to People, in 2010, Kidman said that Urban (then only two years old) “sings incessantly”. Then, in 2017, Kidman revealed that Urban had starred in her school play. “That’s been the main priority, learning lines with her,” Kidman said. E! News at the time. A year later, it seemed like Urban’s interests had shifted to behind the camera, as Kidman stated. People in 2018, her daughter was “showing an interest in directing,” adding, “I want her to have a path for that.” It’s possible that in the end, it was the model who stole Urban’s heart, but at just 16 years old, the world is still his oyster.
